My approach to teaching bass is to first provide a calm and comfortable environment to learn in. I believe keeping a positive energy is paramount. Everybody learns differently, so for every student I create a unique lesson plan and approach depending on their specific needs. From country to jazz I play all styles of music and feel the joy of music can only be experienced firsthand. Learning bass in Cypress should always be fun!

I started playing bass when I was 13 and started playing guitar when I was 15. I graduated from Musician's Institute in Hollywood, CA and have received my AA degree in Music in Performance, Bass. I actively play and write music with a few bands. There isn't anything else I could imagine myself doing other than music, it is a great passion of mine to teach bass in Cypress, and I absolutely love it. I have taught bass and guitar before joining YourMusicLessons and have experience teaching beginner bass lessons to both kids and adults.

I started playing guitar at 14 years of age. My father and mother are both musicians and initially I was taught basic chords and rhythm by them. I had ambitions of attending Berklee School of Music in Boston. I spent three years at Fullerton College studying Jazz guitar with Dr. Joe Jewell, who is one of the finest guitarist in professional music and a Jedi Jazzman. I received the friends of Jazz scholarship and Berklee world tour scholarship. In 2004 I would hold the guitar chair in United States Marine Corps Band.
