My approach to teaching guitar is to first provide a calm and comfortable environment to learn in. I believe keeping a positive energy is paramount. Everybody learns differently, so for every student I create a unique lesson plan and approach depending on their specific needs. From country to jazz I play all styles of music and feel the joy of music can only be experienced firsthand. Learning guitar in Los Alamitos should always be fun!

I started playing guitar at 14 years of age. My father and mother are both musicians and initially I was taught basic chords and rhythm by them. I had ambitions of attending Berklee School of Music in Boston. I spent three years at Fullerton College studying Jazz guitar with Dr. Joe Jewell, who is one of the finest guitarist in professional music and a Jedi Jazzman. I received the friends of Jazz scholarship and Berklee world tour scholarship. In 2004 I would hold the guitar chair in United States Marine Corps Band.
