Whether students are accomplished artists or just beginning my constant goal is to encourage & motivate them to realize their full potential as an artist. Through musicianship lessons, physical gestures, creative activities and rehearsal I encourage my students in Lakewood to approach music making from all angles and to unlock their creativity. My teaching style blends music and acting philosophies from Suzuki and Kodály to Meisner & Uta Hagen into a fun environment where students learn more about music as well as themselves. I first caught the bug when I noticed my little 8 year old cousin taking piano lessons. I took one of her first books and started to teach myself to play at 16 years old. I became obsessed, and before I knew it, I was sight reading, and playing better than she was! Now, I mainly sing, having ventured into that area in my first semester of college. I have tried all sorts of music, from vocal jazz, choral, opera, musical theatre, to Italian Art songs. Currently, I am a student at CSUF, studying voice and teaching in Lakewood.

I began learning piano from my father when I was 7 years old and have continued practicing and developing my skills since then. I have used my background in piano and sight singing when volunteering for Garden Grove High School's class piano programs and to help my fellow music majors at CSUF pass their piano requirements. I began singing in middle school choir and began tenor voice lessons 4 years ago when I started at CSUF. I have sung with notable musicians such as Andrea Bocelli and Andy Williams.
