Overview

The music teaching method that I've developed focuses on bringing up to a conscious level, the student's individual voice of artistic expression.
With 15 years of experience in the music education field as well as having worked in the music therapy division of Malibu rehabilitation centers (Seasons Recovery), I have seen first hand the superb benefits and healing qualities of an adequate and personalized musical education process on individuals of all ages.
One evening, after performing with renown jazz singer Al Jarreau at a venue in Studio City, CA., Mr. Jarreau told me that I should teach. After careful contemplation, I contacted the director of the music department at the Malibu High School, whom after listening to my first solo record release "Captivated" started referring some of his students for private lessons.
My first student (January - 2000), Kyle rapidly understood and adopted my teaching methods and became a very good bass player for the school's ensemble.
Kyle's parents, who worked at the time as the editor of a local newspaper, after seeing their son's progress started recommending me to many other families in the Malibu community, which resulted after a very short time in a regular flow of 16 students per week.
In present times, Kyle is studying music arrangement and conducting at the Toronto University.

Other students ended up following a dedicated music career, like Gabriel, with whom I collaborated in the production of a CD called Orchid and is now studying music and business at the Santa Cruz College in California.

Trevor, a very dedicated student, is now working for a company in Silicon Valley creating music for video games, earning a substantial salary.

James, who's interested became the music production and digital recording processes, is now working at a studio in the San Fernando Valley, CA.
Tim, also took the same path as James.

Annie became a virtuoso guitarist and composer and Nina is establishing herself in the music industry as a very promising singer songwriter.

Music is a life long journey filled with amazing moments of pure joy and beauty, and I truly hope that you can enjoy the process of laying a foundation to build a prosperous and enjoyable life.
