Overview

Hello and thank you for checking out my profile. A little about myself; I have been living in Texas for over 15 years and have done all my schooling here as well. I attended the University of North Texas, where I received my Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance. Afterwards, I left to travel the world performing aboard cruise lines such as Carnival Cruise Line and Holland America Line, where I often performed with Top 40 bands and pit orchestras. I hold a strong belief that even the most difficult of skills and tasks can be learned and mastered with the right planning and LOTS of patience. At the same time, I enjoy making music enjoyable and fun, the way it is supposed to be! I look forward to meeting you helping you achieve your goals.

On Practicing Part 1

Practicing does not have to do with quantity, but with quality. If you can focus on one small goal in a 30 minute period everyday, you will be hitting bigger goals in far less time than with unfocused practice. If you're constantly making the same mistakes practice session after practice session, you need to rethink your practice!

Basics/Fundamentals

Just like an athlete stretches before a run, a musician has to warm up properly as well. Always start off a practice or performance with a good warmup, relative to YOUR skill level. One person's warmup is another person's 10k!

Questions and Answers
