I was 10 when my parents bought me my first drum-set. From that point on I was hooked. I immediately started taking lessons with a few local teachers in my hometown Bologna, Italy. At age 19, I decided to move to Los Angeles to attend the prestigious Musicians Institute, from which I graduated in March 2013. Good Morning/Evening!My name is Christian B. and I am a Music Educator that has taught for five years throughout various schools. I absolutely love teaching and I am excited to work with anyone that chooses me. To help you understand how I teach, it would help if you knew a little bit about me.I began my musical journey in 5th grade on trombone and I immediately fell in love. I continued to pursue music all throughout college and even received my degree in Music Education from Cal State Fullerton. Upon graduation from high school, I served as an instructor for my middle and high school alma mater (John A. Rowland High School and Alvarado Intemediate School). I worked with the band all throughout the year for both marching and concert band. I loved everything I did with the kids and it was a blast that made me want to teach even more. I also served as an instructor for Oaks Middle School in 2013. After many years as serving as an instructor, I ended up serving as the Assistant Music Director at Alvarado Intermediate and eventually the Interim Music Director. During this time, I taught all types of music, which included vocal music. My love for teaching expanded to the worlds of choir, especially show choir.I want to continue on my journey as a music educator by teaching students privately and helping anyone grow. I love working with people and applying my personal teaching philosophy, which is making sure that music is still fun regardless of what you are working on. To finish off this introduction letter, I want to share some fun facts about myself! I was on a webseries called Video Game High School (Season 2) as a very noticeable extra. I act / voice act on the side, which leads to me being on some random animes here and there. I have auditioned for many Musical Theater productions before and enjoyed every minute of it.I look forward to working with anyone and I hope to hear from you soon!Musically yours,Christian B.

I started playing the piano at the age of three. My formal training began a few years later. When I was twelve years old I started taking private lessons with concert pianist Charlotte Zelka, who made me focus more on timing, volume control, and tonality. She remains a huge influence on my playing and instructional style to this day. In high school I played piano for the jazz band under the direction of Chuck Wackerman. Currently I am performing in two musical projects, and have been teaching for two years.
I have grown up in the music business, and been singing since childhood. I started singing professionally at 13, live and in the studio. I studied and obtained an Associate of Arts degree in Vocal Performance from Musician's Institute where I expanded my music theory, ear training, sight-singing (reading), piano playing and performance knowledge. I currently teach all vocal levels and beginner's keyboard lessons at my alma mater and have found that there's nothing better than helping others navigate this world of music!
