Overview
I have been making music for 20 years whether that's piano, singing, writing music, film scoring, or performing. I received my bachelors degree in Music Composition (piano emphasis) from the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music outside of Chicago. While I was a student there I was heavily involved in academic classical music events as well as student run popular music events. I have taught private and group lessons for 6 years and have loved every bit of it because I get to share the joy of music with others!
Teaching Philosophy
Music is a vast and wonderful discipline that very few people in the world have the luxury to tap into. My desire is to share with my students what I have learned so that my passion for music will become their passion. My goal with my students is not to have discipline overshadow their love of music, rather it is for their love of music to overshadow discipline. Hard work will only take effect if it is fueled by the student. That's why it is very important to me that my students have a lot of input in their lessons.
