Overview
I have over 15 years experience singing and am a graduate of the University of Alaska Anchorage, where I earned my Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and founded the University Glee Club. During my time in Alaska, I had the privilege of performing with a number of professional companies including Anchorage Opera, Anchorage Symphony Orchestra, and Perseverance Theatre. I am now a professional singer and actor in Los Angeles. I have experience teaching, directing and performing pop, classical, and musical theatre.
Teaching Philosophy
Music is often seen as a luxury, something we do not need in order to function, but I have never seen it that way. Music has power that cannot be explained. It moves us in a way that nothing else can. I believe in connecting to that feeling, and using it to create something unique that only you can create. This is especially true as a vocalist, where your body is the instrument. My goal is to take students to that place, where they can do no wrong.
