Guitar and Singing Lessons
Guitar Lessons
Sight Reading, sight reading, sight reading. We will start out with that because you need to learn how to read music instead of tabs.
Voice Lessons
We will develop your technique first and then work on finding the emotion. Everything has to work together. I have a very laid back approach. You should be prepared to record your lesson and yourself practicing so that we can keep in touch throughout the week.
Overview
I've been a music student since graduating High School in 2013. I've taken some voice lessons in Classical technique and used that to develop healthy habits for singing my own kind of music. I have always been a choir kid, doing honor choirs and the likes, but now I realize that I have my own unique voice and need to let that shine. To me, the biggest realization you can make is that you sound completely different from anyone else, and that you will never be able to sound like anyone else, no matter how hard you try. Besides, why would you? The more I am around other musicians I realize that there are a lot of misconceptions about what you should be and shouldn't be doing with your voice at a fundamental level, that can cause a lot of issues up on stage. It's my goal to try and share my experiences from singing my entire life in choirs and also playing solo, and use those to help guide and direct a student on their own journey. It's my goal to be someone who is going to be heard on the top of the charts, and I want to accomplish that while helping others along the way. I know that it's something that takes a long time to develop, but with the right attitude and persistence I think that anything is possible. My hope with these lessons is to be able to make enough money to be able to take lessons from the great Seth Riggs in California and learn what it takes to be one of the best Vocalists on the planet. Right now I am taking piano, guitar, and voice lessons in college, as well as an online R&B Voice class taught by Jeff Ramsey. My goal is only to help you to be the best singer/artist/person you can become by helping you jump past the hurtles that I had to so that you can achieve your dreams faster. Thanks, and I hope to talk to you soon!
