Overview

Hello! Nice to meet you potential student/parent/ reader. My name is Conn P.M. Thibodeau. I am a current Senior at Gibbs High School enrolled in their Pinellas County Center for the Arts program through their Vocal Arts focus. A little about my background; I started playing the Viola in Fourth Grade, and have continued playing in Orchestras throughout that time. I have played famous pieces such as Dvorak's "New World" Symphony, Schubert's Unfinished Symphony, Mozart's 40th Symphony, Beethoven's First Symphony, and many more. I have also played for musical productions such as Titanic: The Musical. Additionally, I have been taking private voice lessons for two and a half years now, and am a Lyric Tenor. I have had the phenomenal chance to work with acclaimed composers such as Ola Gjeilo, Randall Z. Stroope, Kathleen Bawel, Dr. James Bass, and most recently, Dr. Eric Nelson, who is the Artistic Director for the Atlanta Master Chorale. I have performed pieces in English, French, German, Italian, Lithuanian, Latin, Spanish, Russian, and Portuguese. I have had the chance to perform some lovely solo literature, including literature from Handel's Messiah. I also have had the opportunity to study with Mr. Derek Weston in conducting, and have conducted the PCCA Women's Chorus and St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church's choir. I work at St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church as their Tenor Staff Singer. I plan on majoring in Music Education from either Florida Southern College or Stetson University in the coming Fall. This is my first real teaching opportunity outside of the classroom, but I believe that you will learn something from the time you put in. Everybody has room to improve and to learn, and learning is a two way street. I hope to hear from you soon!

Sincerely,

Conn P.M. Thibodeau
