Professional Music Teacher - Benny R
Professional Music TeacherFountain Valley, CA

I have been a professional music teacher since 1989, teaching all of the traditional band & orchestra instruments (winds & strings). I thoroughly enjoy teaching my students and I try to make our lessons as fun as possible. I specialize in elementary, middle, & high school students, along with adults. My education includes a Bachelor of Music degree from Cal-State Long Beach which has led me to become very knowledgeable of all the wind & string instruments listed in order to gain a full understanding of how to teach them to my students. I specialize in structuring my lessons to meet how the student desires to be taught. I want the student to be happy and have fun while learning to play their instrument.

Fun Piano & Guitar Lessons - Terry A

Okay, so I actually don't recall when I started teaching music - it was a long time ago and I have taught off and on. Up to this point, I've never advertised. The students I've taught have been the result of playing shows and at my church and people reaching out and asking me to teach them So what's changed you may ask. It may sound a bit corny but I have come to recognize that the knowledge I've amassed over my 30 something years of live and studio work, comes with a responsibility: I feel I should pass on what I've learned to people who want to learn. (Not to mention the realization I ain't gonna get rich and famous. But hey, the next best thing would be my STUDENT getting rich and famous. Right?)

I started playing the piano at the age of three. My formal training began a few years later. When I was twelve years old I started taking private lessons with concert pianist Charlotte Zelka, who made me focus more on timing, volume control, and tonality. She remains a huge influence on my playing and instructional style to this day. In high school I played piano for the jazz band under the direction of Chuck Wackerman. Currently I am performing in two musical projects, and have been teaching for two years.

Piano Instructor - Yolanda B
Piano InstructorFullerton, CA

I came from the Philippines, a Filipina and I've studied music at the Philippine Women's University College of Music and Fine Arts. I have been studying since I was 8 years old non-stop until I went to college and finished Associate in Arts in music major in piano. I love to teach and have been doing this for 21 years now. I've been teaching some years previous to this but 21 years is when I really put my full time into it. At first I began doing private tutoring but after awhile I went into teaching at a piano studio in the year 1999 at the "Rios Piano Center" as a private one on one teacher as well as a group class teacher. At the same time I also did start on another piano studio called "California Music Studios" wherein they gave me students and I went to the student's home for piano lessons. I did these 2 jobs until the year 2003. After that I went back to my private tutoring and continued on until the present time. I've been active in playing hymns at churches where I use to go playing prelude and at offerings. I've been invited to events also to perform both classical and modern music. I'm very patient as a teacher 'cause it takes patience to learn it too. Don't be intimidated that it's hard to learn piano in fact it's very enjoyable especially when you can already read well and play your favorite songs whether pop music or classical. I teach both since students may request to learn songs they constantly hear like popular hits, maybe old songs or new. I'll teach you what you really love to play. Classical music is always best to learn too. You'll be so proud of yourself once you learn Beethoven's "Fur Elise" and Mozart's "Sonata in C". So start your lesson with me and enjoy while you learn.
