Singer Songwriting LessonsPanorama City, CA

Hello! I'm Steve Epting and I am a singer/songwriter and entertainer. I was born and raised on Chicago’s south side, but now I'm on the Los Angeles music scene.I am a recent graduate of Eastern University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music. I'm a classically trained vocalist that sings in a plethora of genres (Gospel, Jazz, Pop, and R&B). I have been singing since I was 3 and I love to work with people that want to become better singers! In addition to being a singer/songwriter, I am a vocal coach, vocal producer/arranger and an actor. I got my start singing in Chicago church choirs, advancing toward acting on Chicago’s Black Ensemble Theater stage, and ultimately performing a plethora of musical genres on many grand stages across the country. Being the son of a pastor, I have a heavy background in Gospel music. As I grew in age and musical maturity, I began to be influenced by many genres such as R&B, Jazz, Pop, and Country music. Some of my musical influences include Nat King Cole, John Legend, Lady Antebellum, Motown, and the musical element of Disney films. These influences, I believe, help to make me a well-rounded artist and performer. I love teaching music and working with those eager to sharpen their craft! I love being able to share my knowledge, helping others achieve their goals and dreams!I would love to work with you! Let's get started today!

Classical Voice Lessons - Darci M

Darci Monet is a seasoned professional vocalist, vocal coach, songwriter, comedic actor, talk show host, speed demon typist and retired nanny. Over the years, she has managed to make jobs out of nearly all her favorite hobbies, so in her private time she likes to Netflix and chill (in the literal sense...what were YOU thinking?) or have game nights and wine with friends. She enjoys swimming a lot but does not enjoy long walks along the beach because walking in sand is very difficult and no one bothers to mention that before you've gone and gotten yourself trapped in a dune. But you're here about vocal training...Darci has been performing professionally since she was 15 and has studied voice extensively since she was 16 with some of the country's premier vocal coaches. Over the years she has molded together the best of everything she learned to create her own "Tech and Truth Method™" and now shares it with her students.Darci Monet CAN DO and STILL DOES what she teaches! She is not only an expert vocal coach, but an active professional vocalist, performer and award-winning songwriter. A native upstate New Yorker who started her career in Nashville singing backup for some of the most accomplished recording artists in the business, she brings twenty-plus years of formal study, hands-on experience and a joyful, down-to-earth presence to her coaching. Either in person in her studio in L.A. or anywhere in the country via Skype, Darci offers training in contemporary vocal styles, basic musicianship, ear training and songwriting consultation.Darci's clients include a 2010 Tony winner, currently touring performers, contestants on American Idol, X-Factor and RuPaul's Drag Race, professional actors and dancers (Lady Gaga tours, Avatar, American Idol, 24, Fringe, Disney Paris, various commercials, Pandora, XM Radio), corporations (Choice Hotels, Emu Australia) and several up-and-coming entertainers currently performing at L.A.'s historic rock clubs, cabarets and theaters. She was head judge for a popular local singing competition for two and a half years and her award-winning songs have been heard on television, in independent films and on radio worldwide. Darci performs all over Los Angeles and often travels for performances and master classes throughout the country.

I sing because that is what I was made to do - I'm guessing that is why you sing too :) My mother was a USO/Big Band singer so I started at a very young age and was in my first professional show at 15. I currently sing Rockabilly in my own band (a combination of Jazz/Swing and Rock/Country) but studied opera "bel canto" technique - because you need to learn the rules so you can break them. I use a yoga breathing technique because singing is just talking and breathing with a little music added, no? It should come easily to you - your body knows how to do it. I'll just teach you how to refine your technique, stretch your range and find YOUR voice. I've taught at School of Rock since 2007, and was featured in Music Connection's "Hot For Teaching" (one of 6 teachers profiled across the U.S.) as well as Fox News (National). I attended music conservatory in New York and was in the original Tony-winning cast of "Into the Woods," toured the world singing at Carnegie Hall, toured the East Coast w/Grammy-winner Folk Rock singer Michelle Shocked, and then permanently moved to LA to write/record Rock & Roll for TV/Film. I have over 200 songs in movies & shows you watch regularly. So - we can work on mic technique, stage presence, songwriting, or just SINGING.
