I am a 23 year old choir student at Fullerton College, and I am studying to get a degree in Music Education. I have been singing since I was three years old and have been in choirs and musicals ever since. I have been in vocal jazz groups that have competed and won first place in competitions all over the country, and have been nominated for National Youth Theater Awards. My music teachers have made huge impacts in my life with regard to skill, confidence, and even self-esteem. My hope is to pass on the knowledge that I have gained throughout my life, while also encouraging students to be confident and put their whole hearts into the music they sing or play. I love teaching, and find it to be incredibly fulfilling to see my students progressing and becoming increasingly excited about their art. I would love to share that with you!

I was on Adam Levine’s team on Season 3 of NBC’s The Voice at the age of fifteen, and just recently came out of the Top 10 on Season 14 of American Idol in 2015. I absolutely love to teach, and enjoy helping people realize their highest potential. Music has been one of the biggest parts of my life ever since I was able to speak. I recently taught voice to elementary and high school kids from 2012-2014, but had to stop due to my long run on American Idol. I had ten students and trained their vocals weekly by having them sing popular songs after doing proper warm ups and fun exercises. I helped many of my students gain confidence in not only their abilities, but in their character. I am also a registered songwriter under ASCAP. Songwriting came into my life around the age of twelve. I have been actively writing songs for not only myself, but many other artists in the music industry for years. Some of these artists include platinum selling artists like Metro Station, Michael Calfan, and Alexandra Stan.

I began learning piano from my father when I was 7 years old and have continued practicing and developing my skills since then. I have used my background in piano and sight singing when volunteering for Garden Grove High School's class piano programs and to help my fellow music majors at CSUF pass their piano requirements.I began singing in middle school choir and began tenor voice lessons 4 years ago when I started at CSUF. I have sung with notable musicians such as Andrea Bocelli and Andy Williams. As far as drumming is concerned, I have been a percussionist for a long time and a set drummer for two years now. I play a lot of funk, pop, and rock!
